Clipstream
Audio 3 needs
several files accessible by its applet in order to play a clip. Read this
page for a description of what each of them does. If you haven't already,
please go through the
Quick Start process
to encode an audio file.
Requirements:
- Encoded Clipstream Audio files
When you encode with the Clipstream
Audio 3 encoder and choose to "Launch the demo page" at the end
of the encoding process, the Encoder will generate a number of essential files
in addition to your individual audio files.
Note: to the viewer, except for the .html page and interface graphics,
these files are not visible. They exist only on your webserver.
If you open up the folder where you encoded to, it will contain files such
as these:
Here is a list of what these are and what they do.

Class |
Description |
 |
.csa audio files |
All the files that end with the extension
.csa are your unique audio files. The root name of these files will be
the same as the name of your source audio file. |
 |
The .zip player |
The Clipstream Audio applet
uses a mini-program within this .zip file to play the audio files. Do
NOT unzip this file. |
 |
The .cab player for IE |
This is a lighter mini-program that plays the components
of the .zip as separate classes. Used by Internet Explorer to load faster. |
 |
Default .html page. |
Upload this if you do not already have a page with proper
Clipstream Audio and / or Bannerstream applet
code embedded. Use this page as a starting point as you are learning how
to adjust Clipstream Audio for your website. It is generated by the Encoder. |
 |
.js file |
This contains the code that instructs the Clipstream Audio
applet mini-program where to look for certain files, what parameters (options)
it should use when playing. Someone familiar with web editing can edit
this .js file to add or remove parameters. Otherwise, this file is generated
by the Encoder. |
