Licensing Clipstream Audio
In order to play Clipstream™ Audio completely on your website you must license it. Purchase a license codekey through our secure online purchasing. Then authorize the clips you have encoded and your Encoder with the keys. There are three different methods you can use to authorize your clips.

Requirements:
  • Existing Clipstream™ Audio encoded files
  • A Clipstream™ Audio codekey
  • Access to the webserver to which the license applies
  • A web development program or text editor
How the licensing works

Each applet will play only on a local machine without a license. In order to license it for play on a web server you must purchase a key online from our Secure On-line Purchasing pages. After purchase you will receive a confirmation email. At the bottom you will see information like this example:

Assign your license to a website

Clipstream™ licenses are assigned to websites. Clips encoded for those websites cannot be moved. When you decide which web domain to license, go to the Registration page to assign your license.

Note: If you do not yet have a website where you will host your clips, wait until you have one and then continue with these steps.

Go to the Registration page >>

Enter in your domain URL and serial number into the form on that page.

Once you assigned a license to a website, you will receive a key by email like the example below:

  • Note: save this CodeKey in a safe location. There is an administrative charge for looking up or replacing lost CodeKeys.
Then you must make sure that each applet embedded in a page on an authorized server refers to the CodeKey license.

Next step: Activating Clipstream™ Audio Applets

Now that you have received a valid CodeKey, now you must apply them to individual applets (or the authorized server).
